Remembering our beloved friend, advocate, community leader, and board member
All of us at Eggleston our deeply saddened by the loss of Kenneth "Ken" Lampert. In addition to his many community leadership roles, Ken was a dedicated, compassionate friend, volunteer, and board member to Eggleston for many years.
Ken gave his time, talent and treasure selflessly and in abundance to ensure adults with disabilities in Hampton Roads were empowered and thriving in employment, in their homes, and throughout the community.
Ken most recently served as Eggleston's board treasurer. Over the years, Ken was instrumental in the growth of Eggleston's philanthropy program. He provided ongoing counsel and was an ambassador for Eggleston’s mission in the community. Ken played a key role in orchestrating the logistics of the OK5k Run, Walk & Stroll, which raised significant funds for Camp Civitan and many other Eggleston programs. Ken helped establish the Eggleston Foundation to raise long-term endowment and working capital funds in support of Eggleston’s mission.
Ken's presence will be missed immensely by all at Eggleston but his legacy will live on
through the Kenneth Lampert memorial fund of the Eggleston Foundation.
